“Kelly’s songs paint vivid pictures; the songs bring to mind folks like Guy Clark for their sentimentality and John Prine for their wry humor.” - Glide Magazine

“Claire Kelly is a songwriter who marries words and music with grace, wit and wisdom beyond her years.” - Ginger Sands

“While there’s no shortage of young women armed with an acoustic guitar and a lovely voice, Kelly has the chops to be everyone’s new favorite artist, and when she sings that she’s not selling out arenas quite yet, we all get the feeling that it’s certainly on the horizon.” - Take Effect Music Review

meet claire kelly

Singer, songwriter and self-proclaimed optimist, Claire Kelly, has been on a mission to brighten every corner she steps in with the music she writes. Originally from the Chicago area, Kelly started penning songs in the margins of her middle school notebooks at the age of 13. Ten years later, she moved to Music City to dive into her passion for songwriting full-time. Since making the move to Nashville, she’s toured internationally, had songs placed on primetime television and has won several songwriting contests, most recently through the world famous Bluebird Cafe.

A few years into her Nashville journey, she began to focus on writing music for film and television. Her music has been heard on ABC Network, HBO Max, Hallmark, the Miss Universe Pageant, and her song "The Art of Letting Go" was recently featured on the hit Netflix series Love is Blind.

According to Claire, her latest project, Hopeful Romantic, is her whole heart in six songs. It speaks to fighting an occasionally dismal world with a radical amount of gratitude, love, and kindness. Standout tracks on the EP include “Drunk Girls”, a lighthearted anthem about being kinder to strangers, and “Tapestry” a song about the people who change you for the better,  which won her a songwriting contest at the world famous Bluebird Cafe. She supported the EP release with a European tour across Ireland, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Claire has loved getting to share her songs and stories with people all over the globe. From concerts in living rooms to critically acclaimed festivals and everything in between, she’s opened up for acts like Colbie Caillat, Anderson East and 2019 American Idol winner, Maddie Popee. She has also performed at festivals across the states such as Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Kerrville Folk Festival, The Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival, The Lights Fest, Steel Bridge Song Fest and Mile of Music.
